Lenape Tribe – $25

The Lenape were the native people of New Jersey. They used Patcong Creek for food. They harvested fish and shellfish in the summer months. Summer Tourism of the Jersey Shore began several hundred years ago.

Shipbuilders Circle – $50

In the 1800s, Patcong Creek was used for shipbuilding. Bargaintown Lake at the head of Patcong Creek had a sawmill producing the materials for this important downstream industry. Schooners and sloops were built at shipyards in Somers Point, NJ.

Blue Claw Club – $75

Today, the creek is a home away from home for crabbers, fisherman, and water-sport enthusiasts. Those who enjoy Patcong Creek for recreation are the current stewards of the creek and its watershed.
A Donation at this level brings you into the fold as you can attend the biggest party in Somers Point in June that is part of the Assault on Patcong Creek Crab Tournament.
